Pasta in Sweet Chilli and Sriracha Sauce

A quick and bold fusion pasta tossed in a sweet, spicy sauce made with sriracha, sweet chilli sauce, and warm spices. Perfect for a fast and flavourful single serving meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup boiled pasta (fettuccine, penne, or noodles)
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp piri piri masala
  • A pinch nutmeg powder
  • A pinch cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
 

  • In a heatproof mixing bowl, add sriracha sauce and sweet chilli sauce.
  • Sprinkle in black pepper, piri piri masala, nutmeg powder, and cinnamon powder. Mix lightly.
  • Heat olive oil in a small pan over medium heat until hot (not smoking).
  • Carefully pour the hot oil into the sauce and spice mixture. Stir well to combine into a smooth sauce.
  • Add the boiled pasta and toss thoroughly until evenly coated with the sauce.
  • Serve immediately while warm. Optionally garnish with extra black pepper or a drizzle of olive oil.

Notes

  • You can use any pasta or noodles depending on preference.
  • Adjust sriracha for more or less heat.
  • For added texture, you can toss in sautéed vegetables or grilled chicken.
